Below you’ll find detailed information on how Hungry Girl works with food companies and advertisers. We maintain the highest level of brand integrity and have always sought to provide our audience with full disclosure of our inner workings. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have regarding this matter.
Editorial FYI:Advertiser relationships do not influence what we write about in editorial content. When advertised products or services are featured in editorial content, those mentions are not paid for or sponsored. For information about our Editorial Policy, click here.
Hungry Girl & Advertising:The Hungry Girl website and daily emails sometimes feature ads; however, we only advertise products and/or services that are Hungry Girl approved. These ads are easily distinguishable from editorial content and often feature special offers, coupons, etc. They appear in several distinct forms, as described below.
Banners: Banners are either sponsored ads or house ads promoting HG initiatives.
Sponsor Spotlight: No more than two or three times per week, Hungry Girl will highlight brands or products with a Sponsor Spotlight. These are clearly marked with the words “Sponsor Spotlight” or "Guilt-Free Groceries." Additionally, "brought to you by” messaging always identifies the sponsor.
Sponsored Emails/Webpages: Occasionally, Hungry Girl will devote a full email/page to sponsored content. These emails/pages are clearly marked with the words “Sponsor Special” or "Guilt-Free Groceries.” “Brought to you by” messaging identifies the sponsor.
Sponsored Videos: We sometimes create sponsored videos and feature them on our HUNGRYVISION™ page and/or in the aforementioned advertisements. These videos include "sponsored by" or "brought to you by" messaging.
Sponsored Recipes: Occasionally, Hungry Girl will showcase a custom recipe created for a sponsor. Recipes appear in a clearly marked category (Recipes Developed for Our Partners), are introduced by the words "Sponsored Recipe," or both. "Brought to you by" messaging will always identify the sponsor.
